So, the University of Michigan is a nice campus I think. As I was going to the bank, I felt sad since this will be my last year here. (Maybe I'll get into law school here but...lulz realism)

Less than a year ago, Professor Bastard told me I couldn't double major. That it would be impossible. That he's never known a student to declare a double major so late before.

Classes start tomorrow. I am not excited about this. I also need to look for a new job, seriously look not half-heartedly submit applications, after my internship orientation next Friday. Blah.

I am excited, however, about going next weekend back to New York to impose myself upon anatari again. I really need to escape the crap going on here and just be myself around people who don't mind when I am.

So okay. Back to putting my stuff away, watching Dark Knight for the zillionth time, and then probably working on watching more Merlin. You're not going to kick my ass this time, life!!!11

One of my resolutions is trying to sleep better, buuuuut in order to do that I'm going to need chemical help.

My problem lately is that I've been plagued by nightmares. I'm worried though that if I take sleeping pills I'll be like...trapped in nightmares? Does that make sense? So, for those of you who have taken sleeping pills before, how do they work? Will I sleep deeply enough to not dream? I know the better long term solution is to stop the source of the nightmares, but until then I'll have to settle for chemical treatment.

Yeah 2am posts are never a good idea. Some of the ideas were good though, so I'll just keep it private instead of deleting it all together.

The weather has conspired to keep me trapped at home today which, while shitty, at least prevents me from the Car Ride of Doom to Alpena. Will probably go play some games with my mom and go to bed at like, 10 so I don't have to be awake to see it roll over into a new year.

I really, really like what hydr0phobia said, so I'll repeat it as a personal mantra to myself too.

2009 will not be completely different. At the end of 2009, I will not be completely different.

But by then I'll know if I can change at all.

Everyone else will always be better at saying things than I am. ♥

edit: . . . or not, I guess we are still going out. Sigh.

In other news I've dyed my hair black again and once it stops reeking of the dye I will be able to enjoy it much more. orz

Today it is windy, and the world around me is de-icing itself. Tomorrow though, on a Monday, before the start of a new year, it's time to start living my life.

Before that I need to take an inventory. Just who am I.

- I'm easily scared. Not by like, horror movie kinda things. I'm scared by change. I'm scared of people, of looking in a mirror, of being myself (whatever that self may be).

- I'm not a skinny person by any means. I'm ashamed of myself, yet at the same time this is who I am. I really am not sure why I'm ashamed. I guess because I feel like I should be?

- I'm easily intimidated. Again, people frighten me. They're all better, smarter, prettier, nicer than I could ever be.

- I don't act my age. I'm not mature at all, I still get insane amounts of enjoyment out of toys and games and cute stuffed animals. I laugh at fart jokes until it gets hard to breathe.

- I'm bisexual. Currently I am in love with a wonderful girl who really must be eligible for some kind of sainthood by now for putting up with me.

- I dearly love Japanese boy bands. Well, particularly ARASHI. I truly dislike most contemporary American pop and hip hop and whatever that shit is the little 19 year olds like to play at work.

- I like being alone, yet feel bad when I'm not invited out. Even when I turn down invitations. Going to New York and meeting part of the Kentity earlier this year was a huge step out of the norm for me.

- I enjoy barbecue chicken and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

- I like holding hands and walking in the rain.

- I hate not being in control, yet feel safest when I can give up control and just curl up against someone.

- I come from a very poor, very abusive family. Not physically abusive, but mentally. Internal scars are worse though maybe. I don't know. But I refuse to allow myself to stay down at this level all my life.

Anyway. I guess none of those things are really who I am. They're things I do, things that I have allowed to be done to me. I have someone now though who will catch me when I stumble, laugh at me when I'm being silly, and just...help me. It's bright when you finally open your eyes after being in the dark so long, but not bright enough that I can't see that there's at least two hands there that are ready to steady me and give me a push forward when I start dragging my feet.

So, today while the weather is angry outside I'll stay comfortable, but tomorrow it's time to step outside, no matter what the weather is like.

I'm going to be okay.

So I go to take my Japanese exam this morning. And somehow I won best actor in my section for my Japanese skit. After the exam I go to claim my certificate and my prize. I saw the cover of it, and I was like, oh! A HYD VHS tape! It must be cuz the prizes were all kinda cheap and stuff, like manga and what not.

But then I look closer when I get on the bus.

I GOT THE ENTIRE SEASON 2 OF HYD ON DVD. JUST. WHAT. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA. First of all, an entire DVD set?! AND A HYD DVD SET ON TOP OF THAT?!!! hahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaacoughhahahaha

こんにちは。昨日のスキットは本当に楽しかったですね。みんながとても上手に演技をしたので、先生達は深く感動しました。あんなに長い文章を全部覚えて演技をしながら話せたのは、すばらしいと思います。内容も三年生らしくて、１、２年生のときと比べて、本当に成長したなあと思いました。みんなのようなすばらしい学生を教えることができて、私達は本当に幸せです。どうもありがとう。

さて、みんなの大好きな！期末試験について連絡します。
